Hire Purchase Car Finance FAQ's
The Warranty is available for passenger cars, vans and light commercial vehicles up to 3,500kg GVW, that are registered within the United Kingdom.
The Warranty does not cover vehicles that:
- are used for hire or reward (e.g. taxi or driving tuition)[we do now offer Mechanical Breakdown Insurance for these uses];
- have been previously recorded as an insurance total loss;
- have been modified from the manufacturer’s specification (unless agreed by Us);
- are used for road-racing, rallying, or any other competitive event.

This Warranty is designed to cover the cost of repair or replacement of any covered component which fails through sudden and unforeseen breakdown.
All Mechanical and electrical components of the vehicle are covered, where they were supplied as part of the manufacturer’s original specification. This includes cost of parts, labour and VAT.
If you think that you have a fault which may be covered by the Warranty, you must contact The administrator, Spectrum Insurance Services Limited in the first instance. The claims telephone number is: 0114 553 6000.
They will require the following information, so please have this to hand when telephoning:
– Cargiant Warranty Reference Number.
– Current mileage of your vehicle.
– Details of the vehicle service history.
