As you’d expect, the Nissan Qashqai comes with a choice of economical petrol and diesel engines, smooth manual and automatic gearboxes and two or four-wheel drive options. If diesel is your preference, you have the choice of a 1.6, 2.0 and manual only 1.5 litre engine. The engines are capable of around 55-74 mpg combined, depending on gearbox and drivetrain.

There are three petrol engines to choose from, a 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0 litre unit. All engines are available with manual or automatic gearboxes and the largest 2.0 box is available with two and four-wheel drive. Expect to receive around 44-48mpg combined depending from the smaller engines and 37mpg from the largest 2.0 unit.
